Echte Rabatte erkennen: 7 Prüfschritte vor dem Kauf
Durchgestrichene Preise sagen wenig. So findest du in zwei Minuten heraus, ob ein Angebot wirklich gut ist.
Ad: links to partner shops are affiliate links. If you buy through them we receive a commission; your price stays the same. Prices are snapshots; the price in the shop is binding.
1. Price history instead of crossed-out price
The crossed-out price is often the manufacturer's non-binding recommended price, which is rarely charged in retail. More informative is the price history from the last 30 to 90 days. Free price history services show you whether the current price really is a low or just the regular price with a new label.
2. Who sells and who ships?
On marketplaces, the seller is usually listed small below the buy button. "Sold and shipped by the marketplace itself" typically means: familiar return periods and customer service. For third-party sellers, it's worth checking ratings and return conditions.
3. Include shipping costs
An offer that is 3 euros cheaper but costs 5 euros to ship is not an offer. Always compare the final price including shipping.
4. Check model number
Especially with TVs, headphones and kitchen appliances, there are variants with almost identical names but significantly different features. The exact model number is in the technical details. Only compare identical numbers.
5. Sort reviews by date
Recent reviews say more than the overall average, especially if a manufacturer has changed the product in the meantime. Look for recurring criticisms in recent weeks.
6. Return period and warranty
Legally, you have 14 days to withdraw from online purchases. Many retailers voluntarily offer 30 days. For tech products, the manufacturer's warranty also counts, which ranges from one to five years depending on the brand.
7. Is it a deal you need?
The most honest question at the end: Would you have bought the product without the discount? If not, the best deal is the one you don't take.
