Why I started Kerwo
Anyone looking for new headphones, a vacuum cleaner or a monitor quickly ends up in a thicket: best-of lists where the product with the highest commission wins in the end, deal sites celebrating the same “bangers” with inflated RRPs every day, and guides nobody has touched for years while the recommended devices have long sold out.
I know that feeling all too well: a lot of time invested and still unsure at the end whether a price is really good or just looks good. I wanted a site I would trust myself. That is why Kerwo exists.
Add to that my time as a retailer with my own online shop: I know the side behind the price tag. That is why, for every deal, I first check whether the comparison price is real, not just how big the discount looks.
How I work
- Updated every day. New offers are searched daily; prices and availability are checked several times a day at the retailer. Anything sold out is ended and marked as expired, and price changes show directly on the deal.
- Fixed rules instead of gut feeling. Every deal has to pass the same rules before publication: price checked directly at the retailer, in stock, real and stated savings, only one deal per product line at a time. The search only publishes what meets all the rules; everything else I check by hand.
- Nothing is pushed on a whim. No shop can buy a placement. Every deal needs a real, stated saving. The order on the site follows savings, demand and recency.
- Deals and catalogue kept apart. Partners send me their product catalogue with prices and images on an ongoing basis, which makes their offers easier to work through. From it, Kerwo-Deals additionally shows a selection of current, in-stock products to browse. They always sit behind the verified deals and never make it to the home page or the social media posts.
- Openly financed. Kerwo-Deals earns through affiliate links. Which shops are partners is listed on the Partners page. On Instagram and Facebook every deal post is marked as an ad. Partners
